Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Sandra Guillen, after her courageous yearlong battle with cancer. Throughout this challenging journey, we have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions – from helplessness and frustration to anger and hope.
Sadly, for our family, the best possible outcome was not within reach, and we have had to bid farewell to a remarkable soul. Sandy embodied countless positive qualities; she was dependable, deeply compassionate toward all living beings, and unwaveringly devoted to her family, friends, niece and nephews. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
We gather here today, not only to remember Sandy but to extend our heartfelt prayers, that she may find peace in the embrace of our parents in the afterlife.
In our time of grief, we humbly seek your support to raise funds for Sandy's memorial expenses and related costs. As an alternative, we have also initiated a non-profit campaign in collaboration with The American Cancer Society. The funds generated through this campaign will contribute to research aimed at conquering the disease that tragically claimed our dear sister's life, as well as countless others.
We deeply appreciate any contribution, regardless of the amount, as every bit helps us make a significant impact. Your support is not only a testament to your compassion but also a step towards eradicating the devastating impact of cancer on families like ours.
Whichever option you choose, please remember that our mission extends beyond fundraising. We wish to raise awareness about cancer, an illness that often appears suddenly and without warning, leaving an enduring mark on lives. By sharing Sandy's story and honoring her memory, we hope to inspire early cancer screening and proactive health measures that can save lives.
Thank you for being part of our journey, and for helping us remember Sandy's spirit by making a difference in the fight against cancer. Your kindness and generosity are a beacon of hope in these trying times.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Guillen Family
