Our neighbor and friend lost everything she owned last night in a fire that devastated her home in minutes. She needs to buy essentials to get herself back on her feet while she is getting things settled with insurance, etc. She has no clothes, shoes, hygiene products, etc.

 

Sandy is the most kind, happy, fit and fun 77 year old lady you will ever meet. She escaped the fire, but her pup, Angel, did not. Sandy ran, in just a bathrobe, in below freezing temps, to the neighbor’s 1/10 mile the other direction and then to my house through woods for help, barefoot, in the snow, and somehow didn’t have any frost bite. She has a deep burn on her index finger. I went to the hospital with her and she was discharged after being looked over. She is one tough cookie!! She would appreciate prayers for herself and her pup, especially I’m sure. She’s a wonderful woman.

 

Thank you to everyone that came out to help! Of course the firemen and paramedics/EMTs and hospital staff!  Tim, The Potts family, my mother/father-in-law here to assist as a nurse prior to the ambulance, and everyone asking what they could do- even in the winter, we have an awesome community here.

 

Any and all monetary donations will go directly to her for her hotel stay, care, clothes, hygiene, a coat, shoes- all the necessities we take for granted daily.
