On May 25th, Sandy went into preterm labor. She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors tried to prolong the pregnancy as long as they could. Sandy ended up having an emergency c-section to deliver her sweet twin boys. Prematurely born at 28 weeks gestation, Levi weighed 2.68lbs and Nate weighed 3.28lbs. Thankfully, both babies were able to be placed on cpap instead of being placed on a ventilator. They will be on the cpap machine until they get to 32 weeks gestational age. Then they will start the process of room air trials. That can take a while and all depends on the babies progress. Sandy and Billy have been told that the babies will be there till August, at least. Blood transfusions will likely be needed in the next few weeks as their little bodies just can’t make enough to replace what they take for labwork. Sandy is staying at the hospital with the boys, only coming home 1 day to rest and restock. Any donation will help off set the cost of them both missing work, traveling back and forth, food, gas, and medical bills that will start rolling in soon. Please keep the Brannon boys in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
