Your donation will help towards establishing the house of Allah and spreading the teachings of our beautiful Deen.

Located in close proximity to the towns of Oldbury and West Bromwich, Smethwick is one of six towns in the borough of Sandwell, situated four miles to the west of Birmingham city centre. It borders Bearwood and Edgbaston to the East.

Approximately 20% of its 60,000 population is Muslim from many parts of the world. The surrounding towns are also seeing a rise in Muslim households as families expand and new people move into the area.

We are pleased to announce that Dawat-e-Islami is in the process of acquiring a building to convert to a Masjid. The property, situated in a residential area, will serve a diverse local Muslim community.

 

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him said, 'Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise'

(Sahih Bukhari)

 

Aswell a Masjid, we will establish a Madrasah where foundational Islamic knowledge will be taught alongside tajweed and Quranic studies, all FREE of charge. 

 

Other free services:  

• Foundational short courses on Taharat, Salah, Zakah, Sawm etc 

 

• Adults tajweed classes

 

• Courses for college and university students on contemporary social issues.

 

In addition to this, weekly gatherings of sacred knowledge for both brothers and sisters.

 

A free funeral service will be provided which will include transportation and ghusl support.

 

The benefits of giving sadaqah:

The Prophet peace be upon him said,

'When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except three: on-going charity , beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who will pray for him'

(Sahih Muslim)

 

Spending in the way of Allah causes an increase in wealth, not a decrease, and removes calamities as it is stated in blessed ahadees:

 

‘Sadaqah does not cause reduction in wealth’ 

(Sahih Muslim)

 

'Verily, sadaqah protects the contributors of sadaqah from the heat of the grave and certainly the Muslim will be under the shade of his sadaqah on the Day of Judgement' 

(Shu'ab ul Iman)

 

'Salah is an evidence (of iman) and fasting is a shield (from sins) and sadaqah wipes out sins as water extinguishes the fire'

(Sunan ut Tirmizi)
