Sandra, her husband and her 5 children were excited once they found out that they were going to welcome twins into their family on October 22nd, 2016. Sandra had a healthy pregnancy until week 33 when she began experiencing what she was told is “normal, braxton hicks” by her doctor. Unfortunately, what she told was “normal” led to an emergency C-Section. Sandra welcomed two twin boys into her family on 9/11/2016 at 10:17 pm. Unfortunately, Sandra was not able to properly welcome her twins until she fully recovered nor was any of her family allowed to enter to check on her for 3 hours. Once 3 hours went by, Sandra’s family attempted to enter her room when they were denied entry. The hospital staff stated she was “still recovering” and we wouldn’t be allowed visitation until she’s fully recovered. Hours later, her family was notified that the hospital discovered that Sandra was bleeding internally and she would be rushed into another emergency surgery. The surgery lasted approximately 6 hours. The doctors told Sandra’s family that if she lived for the rest of the night, she had a great chance of surviving but that it could be her last night. Sandra’s oldest son, Angel was able to tell his mother how much he loved her while she laid there unconscious. Angel was instructed to leave the room because they were going to conduct an ultra sound. Seconds later, you can hear “Code Blue” on a loud speaker meaning Sandra was going into her 6th Cardiac Arrest. Minutes later, doctors stated that they gave up and notified Sandra’s family that she passed away leaving behind 7children and newborn twins. #victorvalleyglobalmedicalcenter
