Two days. That’s how long we had to fly from Tampa to Cleveland after being told

my brain aneurysm was on the verge of rupture. It was a terrifying, life-changing

moment. Thanks to the Cleveland Clinic, I underwent surgery to save my life, but the

challenges are far from over.

The flights and hotel alone have already cost us over $7,000, and this is just the

beginning. Over the next year, we will need to travel back and forth several times,

including a return trip on January 16 to remove internal staples. Recovery means I

can’t be left alone for at least a month, which means my husband, at 65, is taking time off work when he should be resting and preparing for retirement.

As a wife, mom of three amazing grown children, and grandma to a precious 2-year-old, my family is my life. They’ve given me the strength to fight this battle, but this

fight has come at a financial cost we cannot bear alone.

With lupus contributing to this aneurysm and ongoing rehabilitation needed to recovermy memory, jaw strength, and overall health, we are facing a financial goal of $75,200. This amount will cover medical expenses, travel, and lost wages to ensure I can heal with my family by my side.
