We are Sophie & Jenny and we have started this crowd funding page to help our friend Sandra who is valiantly battling cancer.

Originally, Sarnie (as she is so fondly known), was having to tackle breast cancer for which she had operations and radiotherapy. It has recently transpired that she also has cancer in her ovaries, bowel and stomach. On Wednesday she will be going in for surgery to have it all removed and there might be some chemo to follow, depending how well it goes. But, as she is self employed as a childminder, there is no sick pay for the minimum of 6 weeks she needs to take off. The bills will keep coming and food still needs to go on the table for her and her 14 year old daughter.

Jenny has known Sandra for many years and they are the best of friends. I have only known Sandra for a couple of years and yet I still feel so compelled to fundraiser for her because she is such a lovely person and doesn’t deserve this hand she has been dealt. We want her to focus on getting better without having to worry about money so please dig deep and donate.

We will be doing lots of fundraising in the coming weeks so please keep your eyes peeled.
