Sandra Simms lung transplant fund

Sandra Simms has always been a busy, active , hardworking woman, mother and wife.  She willingly, gladly goes out of her way to do things for others and is quick to share a recipe or trick when it comes to cleaning something with household products.

 She's never one to complain or tell others she's hurting. Unfortunately, she's been hit with physical ailment after physical ailment. 

Her vision was poor from cataract that needed surgery. Covid hit last year and her surgery was pushed almost an entire year. So, after months of impaired vision finally, in December her eyes were fixed. She was excited to be able to get back to work in the new year.

January 2021 she goes to Elliot Lake Emergency thinking she has a cold which she would need antibiotics for. Days go by...her symptoms seem to progress and her vitals begin to drop.  She's then flown to Sudbury medical facilities where they sedated and intubated her so her body could fight off whatever infection was affecting her.

After many tests, helpful nurse staff, infection specialists and doctors they managed to find out what the cause of her life threatening health concerns. She has curable and in curable phenomena. She has auto immune disease and arthritis which she has to take medication daily for.  This has caused her lungs to lose there elasticity and harden. Her right lung needs to be removed and replaced in order for her to be able to go home and have some quality of life.

Sadly, during a time if such uncertainty  and with her health she is also left with bills and she is no longer eligible for CERB. She has been advised that she has used up all her EI sick days and is no longer entitled. The next step  is disability but it will take time to put in place 

She has no income and her house bills continue to pile. 

I know we're all going through things. But, if anyone can make the smallest contribution to lessen the load. Our entire family, my mom especially would be endlessly grateful.
