My Aunt Sandra has always been a fighter. While still in her teens in Brazil, she left the security of her parents and faced all the challenges that life can bring on her own. She has always stepped into action into every kind of honest physical labor to provide for herself, and has ran a self-employed cleaning business for decades here in the USA. She has served others in local churches and her communities wherever she passed through. She loves to help others and rarely does she say "No" to a request for help. Now I watch her in a time in her life where she needs our help. My Aunt is only 39 years old and a single mother of a young teenager and currently faces the challenges of undergoing treatment against her Cancer. In February of 2020 she underwent a surgery to remove a large cyst under her left arm. The diagnostic of the cyst was malignant and we were told would take deeper treatment to resolve. My Aunt has exhausted all of her financial means to start the treatment, but without Health Insurance she will be looking to face that financial mountain without being able to work her cleaning business full time as she has always done. The chemotherapy leaves her physically weak and after a few hours a day cleaning houses she is totally exhausted. She has an additional surgery upcoming and afterwards will be completely incapable of working at all as she regains her strength. We know that the journey ahead is going to be a long one but we stand firm in faith believing that God will provide a way towards healing. Whether by medicine, surgeries, or the kind generosity of others coming alongside her, we know she can overcome this!
