Sandra Dee Needs A New Set Of Wheels

My dearest darling sister, the sweet and lovable Sandra Dee has been without a wheelchair for almost a year now! Insurance and bureaucracy are trying to keep her down, and sad and in bed.
 
Heres what she’s got to say bout it:

“Soooo, my new wheelchair is in the last steps before being delivered to me but there was some confusion about this seat lift thing which was basically just an optional upgrade that would have been cool that we filed for on the off chance that insurance would pay for it.

So insurance didn't pay but its ardy on the chair. The plan was to forgo the upgrade if it was denied by insurance, but my phone has been off so communication has been hard, now I either have to pay $1,400 out of pocket or wait for them to send it back through two different companies, disassemble it, reassemble it, and send it back....

FUUuuuhUUHHGGGgggg... UHG.

I've basically been restricted completely to bed for a year straight since my last chair gave out. And it wasn't working WELL before that... So I was still in bed a lot then too.

It's just SO so close... So close.

So, fuck insurance and saying she can’t have the cool af seat lift that enables her to interact like a real human, right?
