Sandra D. Vollmer COVID-19 Recover and Recuperate

Hello, my name is Dr. Jimmy Latimer, and I am Sandra and David Vollmer’s pastor. Sandra and David live in Oakland Tennessee and have been married over 41 years.

Sandra contracted both Covid-19 and Covid pneumonia on June 26, 2021. She was having trouble breathing as her blood oxygen level percentage kept dropping into the 80s. She went to the doctor and then to the emergency room two different times unable to breathe properly. The ER gave her a couple of prescriptions on each occasion and sent her home after her saturation level got over 90.

On July 5th David took Sandra to a doctor they knew at a minor emergency clinic. They had to wait in their car due to the fact they both had Covid, and when they saw the doctor, she brought out an oxygen tank and called for an ambulance that transported her to Methodist North, where she is in ICU.

Sandra started a new job in March 2021, so she is not receiving a paycheck while off work. David is retired and receiving Social Security as his income. The hospital estimates Sandra will be there for at least two more weeks, followed by several weeks (or months) of rehab to get her to the point where she can return to work. Hopefully, she will still be able to get her job back.

It is my prayer and hope that this will provide them with the funds they need to pay their bills until Sandra is able to work again. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and we covet your prayers for Sandra’s complete and swift recovery.
