We are the Sandpiper Homeowners Association, and we are fundraising to help 26 families whose mobile homes were severely damaged by a very rare Tornado strike last Tuesday evening, March 21, 2023. This family park is situated in Carpinteria, Calif., a small Pacific Coastline beach town. It is a mixed community of young families, retirees and older seniors on fixed incomes.
Although many families have some insurance, unfortunately, the coverage is lacking and deductibles are high...worse yet, there are even families without any insurance at all!
Southern California is not Tornado territory, and yet, it happened and sadly left a whole lot of expensive repairs...including replacements of roofs, carports, siding panels, broken windows, fences, and more. The repairs are very costly, for example, roofs run $11,500, carports $14,000, small windows $950, etc.
Please, will you help? Please donate, any amount will help. We promise you will be forever remembered as the kind and generous friend who reached out and offered a helping hand.
