Hello, for those that do not know me, my name is Vicki Trowbridge. Sandra Otero is one of my best friends in life. I met Sandi at work in 1997.  You know that friend that somehow always knows when to call you or really gets you - that's her to me.  Sandi has always been so full of life and such a good friend! 

Ten years ago, Sandi got a pulmonary embolism while in the hospital having a routine surgery - the first real indication something was wrong. From there it has  been over 10 years of progressively worsening symptoms, tests, visits to the hospitals and doctors, multiple medications and diagnoses. Lupus SLE, Fibomyalgia and Anti-phospholipid Syndrome are among the autoimmune diseases ravaging her body on a daily basis. In addition to dealing with severe pain and fatigue, she requires many medications that keep her from worsening or getting blood clots, help her breathe properly and help manage the pain.

As many of you may know, Sandi is on disability and a limited income. This income barely covers the basics, never mind the expensive medications she needs to take. You can imagine the distress she felt when she found out that she was going to need $9,046 to fix her teeth - just to make them normal and healthy again. All as a result of the many medications that she has to take.

I am sending this out because she would never ask for help herself. But she needs it. I know she is loved by many people and I know many of you want to help.
