This past weekend, our Southern California Colt All-Stars (centered through Chula Vista South Pony) took home the Southern California Regional Championship Banner. They defeated a team made up of 15, 16 and 17 years olds (did I mention our boys range in age between 13-15). Last season many of the players were apart of the Chula Vista South Pony 13U World Series Team. Instead of taking the next step to the 14U level, they wanted to test themselves against the highest level, so jumped 2 age divisions to play against the 16/17 year olds in the Colt Division of Pony Baseball.
The boys are representing all of San Diego County in their quest to bring the Colt World Series Title to San Diego! Players come from Chula Vista, Escondido, and National City. In their quest for the world series Colt title, tournaments for Zone and World Series will take place in San Jose and Indiana.
Chula Vista South is a non-profit organization with limited resources but a strong commitment to providing recreational opportunities to our youths. Many of our players come from lower to middle-class households, where travel and lodging will strain many household budgets. To help defray some of the expenses associated with this effort, we are soliciting donations from the public at-large.
We have 14 boys along with their families going to San Jose and then to Indiana beginning July 28th. So any funds raised for food, lodging, and transportation will make this run for the World Series Title and experience for these kids.
We greatly appreciate your support !!!!!!!!!!
