Greetings My name is Rex "Rocky" Wilson from the Sandia High Class of 1973. I am just one student from the first generation of Matadors that got together with my old classmates during a planning session to celebrate our 50th Reunion. In that first meeting we also decided to organize a path to simply give back to the history that allowed us to be where we find ourselves today. By joining together we will all create an ongoing support system to give back to current Sandia Students who need our wisdom and financial resources.
Giving a leg up to those just starting out makes all the difference in further continued trades education and job skills training. We are in short supply across the national workforce for job holders that do work that we all depend on be that mechanics, plumbers, electricians, health care workers such as nurses, dental techs, OPT workers and the like .
No Matadors should fall between the cracks due to lack of financial support and encouragement to explore those avenues as well. College is just one path to an excellent paying employment and career path and if properly prepared often those working class jobs will match or greatly exceed the white collar or so called professional class. The working trades are a great way to go, but lacking institutional recognition be it financially or educationally as encouraged careers. We are going to change that.
The best we can offer to life is by simply helping someone else that needs a heads and hands up on how best to also enjoy our hard achieved standing. As they say. we keep all the things that really matter by giving it away. One of life's most important truths for sure.

To my delight, but not to my surprise the initial donations have been much more than the suggested starting 100.00 donation. All donations that have been sent in so far so have been 1000.00 , 500.00 and 250.00 with the exception of one 100.00 anonymous gift. That was without any prompting from me. You guys are just incredible!
The average 3 day event count was 250 people so at a projected nominal 100.00 gift rate the 25,000 financial mentor goal is very obtainable and many have and will do much more!
We are well on our way!
I absolutely will 100% guarantee, with your help we will exceed that goal because I know how my 1973 Class of Matadors roll and how we have always had each others back in all that we decided to do. I have notified Sandia High Principal Camille Gonzales to count on at a minimum of 25000.00 of funding so we can get started now on identifying those eligible students immediately .

Look for an email from me with all the details of other ways of assistance and donation avenues including Go Fund Me. I would not select the tip option if presented and you can decline doing that if you wish. Thank you so much for reading this taking the effort to make this happen!
