Sandhya's Treatment
My wife, Sandhya, was brought to the emergency room on July 14th and suffered from severe COVID-19; as an immunocompromised patient, the stress on her body caused her to have a heart attack that led to a severe anoxic brain injury that has severely impacted her ability to communicate, her memories, and her voluntary motor control. She has been receiving care ever since but due to our financial situation and the limitations pushed upon us by insurance, we are unable to provide her the care she needs and the care she has been receiving has caused her more sickness, including infected bed sores and pneumonia. She is in need of advanced care and we are a double income family that has lost one source of income. We have two children, a 17-year-old and a 9-year-old, who miss their mother's care and warmth. My eldest child is preparing and hoping to attend their dream college soon, though it is likely that dream will not come to fruition soon. Our 9-year-old misses his mother everyday.
Sandhya needs long-term and intense care now and in the near future, the medical bills for which will add up to much more than any family can pay upfront. Our main concern now is paying for necessary medical bills as well as preparing my eldest child for college. Any financial contribution or share on social media can help our family look towards a future in which all four of us can be happy and healthy.
