Help Us Protect Our Community from Unsustainable Development
We are a united group of local residents standing together to protect Sandbach Heath and the surrounding areas from development by Bloor Homes, who have submitted a speculative and inappropriate planning application (25/0211/OUT) that threatens our green spaces, infrastructure, and way of life.
We want to protect this from overwhelming our community and protect our town from this large-scale proposal that ignores local planning policies, stretches our public services, and would cause irreversible harm to our environment and community character.
This proposal includes hundreds of new homes on greenfield land - with infrastructure we believe is unsafe, unsustainable, and legally flawed. Most recently, Bloor have added a new access route as a material change, yet are trying to bypass proper planning process by disguising it as a minor amendment. Planning law is clear: this change should require a new application and fresh consultation.
We believe this development:
- Ignores our local plan and neighbourhood policies
- Threatens vital green spaces and wildlife habitats
- Will overload our roads, schools, drainage systems, and NHS
- Was prepared with errors, inconsistencies, and misleading data

To effectively challenge Bloor Homes' speculative approach, we need funds to:
Engage independent planning experts and legal professionals
Commission reports on traffic, flood risk, and ecology
Print campaign materials and reach more residents
Ensure our case is taken seriously by the planning authority
Fighting these applications properly means speaking the same technical language as the developers - and unfortunately, that costs money. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to a fair, transparent outcome that reflects the voice of the community.
