Sand River is an amazing addition to the available sport climbing around Hobart. I would like to see lower-offs added to 50 of the more popular routes there. It is easier to put something replaceable on the anchor to absorb the wear now, rather than wait till wear is already showing.

It will be $28 per route, so a total of $1400 for 50 routes. I'm suggesting most routes with 2+ stars, and those on the more popular crags that will likely see the most traffic. If you've enjoyed spending time there, $28 to equip a route is a bargain for the enjoyment we all get from the place. The routes will receive a welded ring on a quicklink on each bolt of the lower-off. This ring is easily replaceable and provides a nicer experience whilst cleaning routes
