On January 21st, 2026, an arsonist set fire to two vehicles in the parking lot of AMC GLASS in San Jose. The cars belonged to my co-workers, Karina and Karen, who were both inside working at the time. The news was devastating for all of us, but especially for Karina and Karen, who lost their only means of transportation in an instant.

Both Karina and Karen rely on their vehicles to get to work, support their families, and manage daily responsibilities. The loss has made it incredibly difficult for them to keep up with their routines and obligations. To make matters worse, insurance will not cover the cost for Karen, leaving her with no way to replace her car. Karina is also facing significant financial strain as she tries to recover from this unexpected loss.
