Our film students raised $8,000 in funds to attend the San Francisco Film Festival, and have made several films that will be screened in the festival. The students were just informed that due to Federal cuts and shifts in what the government is willing fund in education and DEI, the Career & Technical teachers have lost funding for training and fieldtrips. Now the students are trying to find a way to pay for their teacher to attend the festival, or they can not go. Money is needed to pay for the hotel room, transportation, and a substitute that CTE was going to fund.

These students have worked so hard to be able to attend this festival and the news has been devastating. They will not even be able to see their own films screened. We are reaching out to the community to help to raise the funds to cover this unforeseen cost. Anything is appreciated and will help to support and develop the voices, creativity and raw passion for the next generation of this industry.
