I am writing to you today with great excitement to request your support for my daughter, Mary Snider, a dedicated senior wrestler at Rancho Bernardo High School.
Mary has earned a remarkable opportunity to compete nationally and internationally in wrestling this off-season. After personally funding her journey for four years, we are now seeking community help to make these once-in-a-lifetime events possible.
Mary's Off-Season Competition Schedule:
US Open Wrestling Championships (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Expanding Horizons World Wrestling - TriTitans (Da Nang, Vietnam)
Fargo Wrestling Championships (Fargo, North Dakota)
These are among the most expensive and prestigious tournaments a high school wrestler can attend. They offer critical exposure that could help Mary decide where to pursue her engineering education.
More Than an Athlete: A Pillar of the Community
Mary's passion for giving back is as strong as her wrestling spirit. She cherishes the community she found in Rancho Bernardo Wrestling Program and demonstrates her commitment through consistent service.
Volunteer Tutor since her freshman year
Volunteer at B Street Veterinary Hospital
Coach for Rancho Bernardo Middle School Wrestlers
She has been repeatedly recognized for her 'non-transactional kindness towards people," embodying the work ethic, dedication, and loyalty she brings to every aspect of her life.
Academic and Athletic Excellence
Mary is a true scholar-athlete, maintaining a 4.2 GPA and planning to major in Engineering. On the mat, she has been a State Finalist in California for the past two years and her team's Scholar Athlete. She found her calling in wrestling after eight years of jiu-jitsu (earning a blue belt) and has never looked back.
As Mary says, "My ultimate goal is to get as good as I can until I cannot continue."
We sincerely hope you will consider donating to help her achieve this incredible goal. Your support will not only fund her travel but will fuel her dream of wrestling at the collegiate level.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
