Nonprofit GSD Bio is democratizing vaccine production to prevent epidemics, using the same lactic acid bacteria from cultured foods. The new platform we have developed is called the Simple Epidemic-Ending Defense (SEED) system. It uses the power of biology for good, designed for access and to minimize the system vulnerabilities that can leave us in harm's way. We are community-driven and committed to helping address One Health (the intertwined health of all life in our shared environment) challenges at the local level, where the greatest needs are.

We all need better tools to empower us to protect our health. Your support will build these tools. Our work has already produced prototypes that we will move to testing, against coronaviruses and highly pathogenic avian influenza virus.
