My name is Marty Kain and I am acting on behalf of the San Diego Cricket Community. It’s with great pleasure that I inform you that the City of San Diego today approved the first ever artificial cricket pitch in San Diego for the youth of San Diego.

We now have a goal to raise $15,000 to complete the project which includes removal of current soil and grass, laying a concrete foundation and then gluing down an artificial turf.

The pitch will be extremely low maintenance and provide the youth of San Diego a great surface to play cricket on for many years to come.

We hope after the City sees the success of this project they will dedicate more resources to cricket including adult cricket as well.
