We are trying to be the future!  We are the Future Problem Solvers of San Clemente High School.  This past weekend we competed at the California State Bowl and earned an invitation for our 1st place award for our Community Problem Solving Project to compete at the International Conference of Future Problem Solvers in June.  The competition is held in Wisconsin and there is a registration fee for each of the twelve team members of $425.00.  We also must stay in an approved hotel for three nights and fly from California at a roundtrip cost of $523.00 each with chaparones.  

Future Problem Solvers International Conference brings together students from fourth through twelth grades from thirty three (33) states and eight (8) countries to work together to address and find solutions to future problems.

This year, we researched and studied Educational Disparities; Genes; 3d Printing; and Identity Theft.  The conference topic is BioSecurity.  We are the future.  We have good ideas. This program allows us to learn how to work together and express those solutions in a constructive manner.  It teaches us critical thinking and problem solving skills.  

This year, we formed an affiliate club at San Clemente High School which is a public school in Orange County, California.  Our club of 9th grade students spent the past eight (8) months on a the problem of childhood obesity in our community implementing solutions.  Our proect earned us 1st place in the state of California.  Please help us continue our progress at Internationals.
