San Augustine Sheriff K9 Frankie fundraiser

Banita Creek Hall is raising funds for one of its own. A current member of our security team, tragically lost his beloved K9 Frankie after she escaped from her pen on Sunday July 3rd and was later found. Unfortunately she passed from her injuries after getting hit by a car.

K9 Frankie was part of the San Augustine Sheriffs Department and a huge asset to their team. Frankie was a dual purpose K9 officer. She was trained to do passive alert on the odor of 5 different drugs, handler protection, patrol apprehension, vehicle bailout, building searches, tracking and evidence recovery.

We cannot imagine the large hole that has been left by the passing of Frankie and we would like to raise funds to go towards getting a new K9 for the San Augustine Sheriff Department. Banita Creek Hall will hold a special Saturday night fundraiser on July 16th where ALL door proceeds will go towards this fund.

San Augustine Sheriff’s Office will hold services for K9 Frankie on Wednesday, July 13th, at 3:00 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine. Burial will follow at Sassafras Park and the Public is welcome to attend both services.
