Samuels fights against stage 4 neuroblastoma

Fair well 2021!!!! So I have wrote and re wrote this post and still not sure how to “just say it” but here I am just laying it all out however it comes out! My sweet baby Samuel was diagnosed with cancer (neuroblastoma to be exact) on Christmas Eve! It started with a trip to the ER on Tuesday with a few symptoms that seemed concerning just to be transferred to sacred heart where as soon as we get in the room the only word I remember coming out of the doctors mouth was oncologist! My heart dropped and my legs where weak! I picked Samuel up and I could have ran out of there!!! There was just no way my 7 month old “healthy” baby has cancer!! After that it seemed like life was a blur… there was test after test done to my boy! Then we got the news 2 days later on the 23rd that we was going to be transferred to Shands hospital in Gainesville. That’s where we got the diagnosis we where dreading! My strong baby underwent surgery on Monday to get his port and then started chemotherapy on Tuesday! He did 3 days of chemo last week and we was able to come home Friday evening! We will be going back to Gainesville every 3 weeks for his chemotherapy and surgery’s! He gets blood work here in town every Wednesday. He is such a strong boy and God has been so good and faithful through all of this!! My family has been the best support system anyone could ask for and I’m forever grateful! I created this go fund me after tossing the idea back and forth ultimately feeling bad but also knowing how very expensive this next few years is going to be for us with medical bills food gas and hotel every 3 weeks when we have to be in Gainesville.
