I'm asking for help for my younger sister's family after my brother-in-law lost his battle to a rare form of lung cancer on December 4, 2024. He leaves behind his two young children, ages 6 and 4. Although his employer kept him on their health insurance plan this past year, we just found out his life insurance policy was no longer active. As someone who lost their dad as an adult, my heart breaks for my niece and nephew. Any financial assistance will help my sister immensely as she navigates a life without their father and his support.

We are reaching out to ask for your help and support for Samuel Bonilla, a devoted young father of two beautiful children, who has been battling late-stage lung cancer for the past year. He was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer, Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE). As you can imagine, this diagnosis has brought immense emotional and financial challenges to his family. The costs of cancer treatment, frequent travel to specialized medical centers, and the rising costs of food and daily necessities are quickly becoming overwhelming.

Samuel’s mother, who lives in El Salvador, was denied a visa twice in order to come to the U.S. and help provide care for Samuel. So Samuel’s doctor gave him the green light to visit his mother this summer, which could possibly be the last time he sees her. Unfortunately, upon his return from El Salvador, the doctors found new tumor growth. However, Samuel will continue to fight until the very end.

Your generous donation will go directly toward covering his life-saving treatment expenses, travel costs to appointments, and ensuring that his family has enough to meet their basic needs during this incredibly difficult time. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact and provide relief as they navigate this challenging journey.
