Our beloved brother Sam Diaz recently passed on April 14th due to diabetes complications and covid. Sam was a wonderful person who touched the lives of those around him every day, whether it was a family member or a stranger on the street. While he did not have children, he leaves behind a legacy of love and support that his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews and extended family will never forget.
Sam dedicated his life to a life of learning and family. Although he was very book smart, he dropped out of high school, only to right the ship of his life and went on to obtain a Master's degree in Accounting. However, he wished to be known for his heart and not for his academic achievements. He went on to help as many people as he could in his own small way. His kind and noble heart is the legacy he leaves behind.
We want to give Sam the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. There will be a small funeral in San Bernardino in May, then he will be sent to Mexico for burial. (The date and info of the viewing will be posted once we know.)
Many of you have asked how you can be of service. You may honor his legacy by making a donation which will be used to cover all the funeral costs.
Here is a link to the fundraiser for Sam. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
The family thanks you for any support you are able to give.
