Samuel Cox's Outreach to Japan

Greetings and Salutations,

My name is Samuel Cox.

Last year (2024,) I went on a four month long trip to the Hawaiian island Maui. It's the second island in the chain. The purpose of my trip was to volunteer at a YWAM base on that island. YWAM stands for Youth With A Mission, and it's purpose is to train youth to evangalize for God. The first thing you see on the website are the words, "Encounter God - Change the World"

When I was volunteering last year, I felt led to make the decision to come back as a student in a DTS (Discipleship Training School), a 6 month school. 12 Weeks are spent growing in personal relationship with God and then taking the Good News overseas on a 10 week missions trip. This school is a modual learning system, each week having a new topic. I arrived back here in early January, and many things have already happened. We found out our outreach/missions teams, our outreach locations, and ate at the beach, all in the same day. For this school, we are sending teams to Japan, South East Asia, The Himalayas, and Thailand. I'm on the team going to Japan, and we're the largest group, 10 students and 3 leaders. Every Monday, we take some time to prepare for whatever outreach location we're going to.

I was able to work for a couple weeks when I was home for Christmas, but it wasn't enough to fully pay for all the funds I need. In the world we live in, it feels wrong to ask people for money. However, that's just our pride talking. My request and prayer is that you are willing to donate however much money you want to me.
