Hi. My name is Summer and I am Samson's mom. Most of you know we lost Sam 3 months ago in a tragic accident. The family and I are putting together a Sponsorship and a Scholarship in Samson's name/honor for the Anderson High School Marching Highlanders. Samson was an avid lover of music and very musically talented. He was able to march as an 8th grader last year with the Highlanders and fell in love. Our family, including my other 3 children and many of my relatives, have been involved in the Anderson Band for many years. We would love to put this together to honor Sam as I know he would be right there if he could.

The Sponsorship we would like to do is the Ramsey Sponsorship, which puts money right into the band program to help support their season and competition, The Tartan Tournament. We will have a full-page memorial in the Tartan Tournament program, a banner, and be mentioned at the competition.

The second part is a scholarship to help a student or students cover their band fees. As a parent of this program for the last 10 years, fees can be hard for families. I would also like to raise some funds to help some of those kids/parents not have to worry about how they are going to pay to be a part of the program. This program is one of the best and most rewarding programs; it is a wonderful organization. We have loved being a part of the Marching Highlanders. The student/students who receive the Scholarship will be awarded at the end of the year with a certificate for the Samson Craib Memorial Award.

We would love any donations to help us put all this together. Any and all funds will go to the Anderson Band Program. If we reach our goal, any extra funds will be held for next year's season. We would like to do this for at least the next 4 years until Samson would have graduated. If you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate it.
