Samson's Fighting Chance
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Krysta. My 6 year old German Shepherd, Samson, was just officially diagnosed with Lymphoma today. He was asymptomatic and it was an incidental finding during a routine dental cleaning. It is unknown which type of lymphoma it is and additional testing is needed to treat accordingly. I never thought that I would ever consider giving my dog chemo until the decision was needed today as the sooner the treatment is started, the better he might respond. Samson is my best friend, companion, protector and therapy dog all in one. He has been a part of my family since he was 8 weeks old and the thought of losing him so abruptly and without much time to fully process the situation is truly unbearable. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as this process is extremely expensive. I have only decided to follow through with chemo to see if he will respond because according to the oncologist, it was caught very early. This cancer can become very aggressive and can progress rapidly. It is unknown how much longer I have with him but any additional time with my Samson is a gift; He is my everything. All donations would be used solely towards imaging studies, laboratory work, chemotherapy treatments and medications to help alleviate any potential side effects. Samson and I thank you for taking the time to read all the way through.
