Every child deserves more than a place to sleep. They deserve a safe home, an education, nourishing meals, healthcare, and the freedom to experience childhood.
In many rural communities across Nepal, poverty and family hardship can force children to leave school, work at a young age, or grow up without the stability they need. Samsara Ghar (meaning “Home of Hope”) was created to offer another path.
We started with what we had. Samsara Ghar began in 2023 in Parbat, Nepal, with a small home with some modifications made to it and a commitment to help children whose circumstances were keeping them from a safe, stable childhood.
Today, 10 children call Samsara Ghar home. They are enrolled in school and receive nutritious meals, healthcare, educational support, daily guidance, and consistent care. The children have a place where they can study, build friendships, explore new interests, and simply be children.
We have already seen what stability and opportunity can make possible. The children are progressing in school, participating in speeches and competitions, learning new skills, caring for their garden, taking educational trips, and growing in confidence.
But our current home can only serve 10 children.
There are many more children who need the same opportunity.
Now, we are building something bigger!
Construction is underway on the permanent Samsara Ghar facility: a home designed to safely accommodate up to 50 children, along with the staff needed to support and protect them.
The new facility is planned to include:
- Safe and comfortable children’s dormitories
- Warden rooms near the children for 24-hour support
- A kitchen and dining hall for nutritious daily meals
- A library and private study rooms
- A computer lab
- Common areas for activities and community programs
- A playground and outdoor recreation space
- Rooms for staff and approved volunteers
- Spaces that support healthcare, counseling, mentorship, and personal development
The permanent home will allow Samsara Ghar to grow from caring for 10 children to supporting 50, while providing the infrastructure needed for education, nutrition, healthcare, safety, and long-term development.
This is bigger than just a construction project. We are building a place where a child can wake up knowing there will be food that day. A place where school does not have to be sacrificed because of poverty. A place where girls and boys receive equal encouragement and opportunity. A place where children can receive support through difficult experiences, discover their strengths, and imagine futures that once felt out of reach.
Most importantly, we are building a home intended to serve children for generations.
How your donation will help
Net funds raised through this GoFundMe will be designated for the construction, completion, and furnishing of the permanent Samsara Ghar facility.
Depending on the stage of construction, donations may help fund:
- Structural construction and building materials
- Roofing, flooring, plumbing, and electrical work
- Water and sanitation systems
- Children’s dormitories, beds, bedding, and storage
- Kitchen and dining equipment
- Library and study-room furnishings
- Computer-lab equipment
- Safety, accessibility, and security needs
- Playground and shared community spaces
No donation is too small. Every contribution brings us closer to welcoming more children into a safe and loving home.
Who we are
Samsara Ghar was founded by ARC for Nepal, a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and is operated in Nepal by the Rajendra Anjana Foundation. ARC for Nepal’s EIN is 92-2994809.
We are committed to sharing construction progress, photographs, milestones, and updates so supporters can see how their contributions are helping bring the permanent Samsara Ghar to life.
The fundraising total displayed on this campaign may also include verified donations made directly to ARC for Nepal through our website, checks, fundraising events, and other approved channels. These gifts will be recorded as offline donations so the campaign reflects our complete progress toward the same construction goal.
With your help, the permanent facility will have the capacity to welcome and support even more children in the future.
Please donate, share this fundraiser, and invite others to become part of building a home where children can feel safe, stay in school, and grow with dignity, care, and opportunity.
Together, we can build a Home of Hope that lasts for generations.
