Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un - Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.” (Qur’an 2:156)

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved aunty, who has returned to her Creator. She was a kind, selfless woman who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She leaves behind four children, who have already endured the heartbreak of losing their father several years ago.

As Muslims, we believe that charity (sadaqah) is one of the most beautiful ways to honour our loved ones who have passed. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

We are raising funds in their memory to build water wells. All donations will go entirely towards these wells as ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) on behalf of our dear aunty and her late husband, our dear uncle Cisse Mohammed, who he himself is still missed and loved dearly. We are doing this so their reward continues for generations to come, Insha’Allah.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a lasting difference. May Allah accept your generosity, ease the pain of her children, and grant our aunty and uncle the highest ranks in Jannah.
