As those of you closest to me will know, it’s fair to say I like a beer (or six…)

Having initially considered taking part in Dry January for the first time, I thought why not push myself a bit further for a cause I really care about.

I have, therefore, decided to go sober for 6 months (until 30 June) to hopefully raise some money for Age UK.

Age UK is the UK’s largest charity for the elderly providing expert advice, practical support and friendship, as well as campaigning to make older people's voices heard.

I am expecting some strong tests along the way including my own birthday as well as multiple sporting events which is where I am most often found with a beer carrier in hand…
