Sam Steedley, a 16-year-old from a small town in South Georgia was recently diagnosed with desmoplastic small-round-cell tumors in his abdomen. His treatment plan was to undergo several rounds of alternating 5 day & 2 day chemo treatments at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This week he will finish up his last round of chemo and then him and his family will travel to a children’s hospital in New York to remove any remaining tumors. The anticipated surgery date will be in April. No specific date has been set just yet. As you can imagine, something like this can put a strain on you & your family mentally and physically but also financially.
