Thank you for clicking on this link and for taking the time to read this post.

On the 19th of September, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer which was only discovered by accident. I had been having some lower back pain and the GP had thought this was due to bowel issues. After returning, it was then thought to be trapped nerves. After further tests, it was then thought to be Fibroids. It was only because I was sick one night that I went to A&E who then thought it was kidney stones and did a CT scan where the further issues were found. So, my advice is to be persistent and don’t sit on symptoms.
I feel totally fine, my blood tests have all come back clear so far, so I’m in a good place to start Chemo. I feel positive and I want to fight this illness for as long as possible although surgery is not currently possible.

As there are so few symptoms for Pancreatic Cancer, it goes undetected for so many people and by then it’s too late for treatment and they are too ill to have Chemo. I feel very lucky that we found it relatively early.

As this is classed as "the silent killer", I would highly recommend taking a few minutes out of your day to read about this disease and it's symptoms in further detail on the Pancreatic UK website. By doing so, this could help save another life.

I don’t want sympathy, tears or even cards, flowers or chocolates. If you were thinking of buying me something then I would rather you kindly donate towards trying to find treatments and cures for this terrible illness, rather than buying a gift, hence this page.

Thank you very much for everyones kind words and support during this difficult time and thank you in advance for any donations.
