Sam's London marathon for The Stroke Association
Hi everyone, I shall be running the London marathon in October this year to raise funds for the stroke association charity.
As you all know I sadly experienced a stroke when I was 3 years old, and fortunately I was one of the lucky ones that was able to go onto make a full recovery. However, many aren’t so lucky.
This charity is incredible for there growing research into the cause of strokes and finding preventions/cures, assistance through the process of immediate recovery, but more importantly being a life line for families and individuals effected from strokes long after hospital discharge. And speaking from experience, the physiological after effects of a stroke, even decades after, was a lot harder than the physical effects, and it was this charity that was there to help me. Anything you can donate would be appreciated during what is going to be my hardest challenge ever!!!!
