Sam’s fight against GBS

Sam is known for the man with two first names, the guy who makes you laugh, and the man that would give you the shirt off his back if needed. In early July, Sam tested positive for Covid-19. His symptoms were minimal but over the next 5 days he developed numbness and tingling in his hands and feet, difficulty swallowing, back pain and he was admitted into the hospital and eventually became fully paralyzed from the shoulders down and required a ventilator for breathing support. He was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). The road to recovery is long and the need for long term care, specialized equipment and other assistance that is not covered under his medical plan will be costly. We would like to help support our stepdad, mom, and sister in any way whether it be for gas, groceries or medical equipment and care Sam will need by using go fund me.
