Meet Sam - our sweet, loyal companion, best friend, and family member. He needs your help. On Friday, August 22, he was rushed to the emergency vet for continuous vomiting. While there, they took X-rays, ultrasound, and bloodwork, and discovered something stuck in his digestive tract, unable to come out. Not only this, but they discovered fluid around one of his kidneys, completely blocking them from seeing anything on ultrasound. On Saturday, they prepped him for surgery and were able to remove what was stuck in his stomach, but we are still left with the question of what is going on with his kidney. He is currently wearing a drain to let out any extra fluid. This is quickly becoming very expensive. They are hoping for the best and thinking it is a cyst, but the worst-case scenario could be cancer. Sam deserves to watch his human brother Eren grow and continue to play with his cat brother Luffy.

He is closely being monitored at the emergency veterinary and will still need to see a specialist after to see if we can save his kidney.
