Sam’s emergency medical expenses

Hi everyone, I am here asking for help for my brother, Sam. He was hit and run by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle home from work on February 16th. He suffered multiple fractured vertebrae and broken ribs, as well as a few other internal injuries that are keeping him from being able to leave the ICU.

He had surgery on February 17th and will need to be in a halo spinal device for at least 3 months, plus physical therapy. We don’t know what his recovery will look like yet, or how long it will take, and as a result it’s unknown how long he will be unable to work.

This entire time he has remained positive, funny, and determined to make enough progress to get out of the hospital and back home as soon as possible. If you are able to help, please know everything raised will be going directly to his medical bills and recovery expenses.

Sam was wearing all of his riding gear when he was hit; his injuries could have been infinitely worse had he not been. Please remember to look twice for motorcyclists, and if you ride please wear all of your gear, all of the time.
