Sam’s Ecuador Adventure
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Sam.
I have been given the amazing opportunity to embark on a four week expedition to Ecuador in July 2026.
I will be experiencing first-hand the issues that are faced daily by the rural communities in Ecuador (50% of which live in poverty). I will be partaking in the building of schools, houses, and facilities. This is a great way to give back to the communities of the country I have always dreamt of going.
I will also be working to protect the biodiverse hotspot that is the Amazon Rainforest which has had devastating deforestation, with a shocking 9% of the rainforest lost in the past 20 years (an area the size of France!).
The diverse wildlife and landscapes of Ecuador are in decline due to human actions and I will be contributing to ongoing sustainable projects, making a positive and lasting impact.
Walking the Coati Paxi Trail, exploring Lake Mojanda and the many mountains and volcanoes of the Ecuadorian Andes, whilst camping for 4-5 nights on the trail, will be a spectacular part of the trip.
This will no doubt be one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I have done and probably will ever do, but I hope to learn valuable life skills.
In order to raise funds for this trip, I will be organising various events over the next 18 months as well as doing as many jobs as I can.
Any donations are welcome and will go towards helping the rural communities of Ecuador.
Thank you for your support,
Sam
