Hi everyone!
As probably almost all of you know, on November 1, 2016 I was involved in a very serious car accident. I spent 6 weeks at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and since December 15th, 2016 I have been living at the Crotched Mountain Rehab Center where I have undergone Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy. The great news is that I am getting released this week as I have made rapid and unexpected progress in my healing.
As a result of my accident I suffered several broken bones (ankle, wrist, collar bone, fractured hip) as well as a Traumatic Brain Injury. These injuries were all to the left side of my body but miraculously I am healing far better than anticipated which I know is a direct result of all the love, prayers, Reiki and positive energy sent my way. I am grateful beyond words.
The other injuries I sustained as a result of my accident were all to my face. The deviated septum and facial fractures are all healing as well as my other injuries but my mouth/teeth have sustained serious damage. I have no less than 7 broken or missing teeth which I am having oral surgery on to remove. My insurance will only cover the extraction of my teeth and the estimated repairs for the damage is somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 dollars.
At this time, I am waiting to see if I qualify for temporary disability benefits as I am unable to drive or work which I know will change over time but not right away. I desperately want and need to get my teeth fixed. I'm setting up this gofundme page so I can begin the process of restoring my teeth to be pain free and reclaim my beautiful smile. You can't imagine what it's like being 27 years old and having to face the next few months with little or no teeth. Any contribution you could make toward my efforts would be more appreciated than you could know.
I have been so blessed with all who have so generously given of themselves during my healing journey thus far.
