Hi, my name is Sam. I have been a Keeper's Pond Bluetits member for over three years now; swimming and the friends I have met along the way have definitely changed my life. Starting as a hobby with my sister one New Years Eve has turned into a bit of an obsession. I am one of the admins of the Keepers group, helping to arrange regular swims and events for the group.

We have some truly inspirational people in our group snd we often talk about doing an ice mile or swimming the Channel, never really thinking it would become a reality..... but then we put our names forward to the Bluetits to enter as a Channel Swim Relay team.......and we have only gone and been accepted.

I am excited, proud, scared, and stubborn, I mean determined lol. This is going to be the biggest challenge of my life, and I am going into it with the most amazing bunch of ladies. Carol, Sian, Janet, Bow, Kerry, I know we will support and encourage each other all the way to France! Whether I am crying, laughing or being sick, these girls will have my back and me theirs!!

We will be forever grateful to Sian, Makala and the Bluetits Chill Swimmers for this opportunity and for changing the lives of so many people.

Whatever little bit of support you can give, we will all really appreciate it. Its going to be a busy, long, hard two years. We will be doing lots of training, fundraising and general team building, which may involve a glass of wine or two.
