Help me make the HOMECOMING EP happen!

I’m recording my first EP with a full band this spring, and I need your help!

If you’re here you likely already know me, but if you’re new - welcome! I’m Sam Newcomer, a singer-songwriter and children’s musician based in Boston, MA. When I’m not busy playing music for kids, teaching lessons, or providing musical companionship to seniors, I’m writing and working on my own stuff.

It’s always been a dream of mine to record my music with a full band in a recording studio. And finally after years of doubts, fears, and excuses, I’m taking the plunge. I’ve got a batch of songs I’m super excited about, an amazing band lined up (Ava Panza on vocals/drums, Shai Rodriguez on guitar, Ian Ridenhour on keys, Liv Barcohana on bass), and a great studio (The Record Co) - now all I need is you!

I’m seeking $7,500 to help make the HOMECOMING EP a reality. I will be fronting about a quarter of the total costs, your donations will make up the remaining three-quarters. All funds raised here will go towards studio costs, marketing initiatives, and paying the musicians and engineers for their incredible work (seriously, they’re so good).

The project is especially important to me, as all the songs were written in 2021 as I was going through some monumental life events - coming out as gay, reevaluating my faith, exploring my sexuality, losing my job, and entering my first relationship. These songs contain the full range of human emotions and experiences - joy, excitement, curiosity, infatuation, heartbreak, anger, betrayal, contentment, acceptance. I’m so proud of my story and want to share it through these songs in hopes of inspiring others.
