My name is Samuel Garcia but everybody knows me as Sammy, I am 8 years old and this is my miracle journey.
When my mother was 8 months pregnant with me I suffered a prenatal stroke in her womb which affected my overall development. My first weeks of life were spent in the NICU, shorty after my mother was informed I was quadriplegic meaning I wouldn't be able to speak or move my arms and legs.
At 8 months old I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Although facing many trials I continued to smile throughout my journey knowing I had my beautiful and strong mother and my 2 older sisters by my side. As the years went by I developed chronic lung disease and respiratory failure so my doctor recommended I get a tracheostomy and I've lived with a trachea ever since. When I was 5 years old my doctors didn't believe I would make it but I fought extra hard because I had a mission to complete. When I was 7 years old my doctor recommended I be placed on a ventilator to help me breath better at night but soon after I grew a dependency for the ventilator 24/7. I started to get hospitalized for recurring ascites and the doctors weren't able to determine why. My doctors searched for many options in order to help me live a longer life. God placed me on this earth with a mission to inspire others to live a better life and I touched many hearts, I have become a champion. After fighting long and hard my whole life God has now called me to be with him in heaven. Even though my time on earth was short I lived a full life surrounded by friends and family who supported me throughout my journey and love me deeply. My new mission from heaven is to be my families guardian angel where I will wait for them until the day we meet again.
