Help support Sammy and the Evenson family

Hey Friends and Family! 
Some of you may have heard that our fun, energetic, loving, 15 year old nephew/grandson/friend/teammate Sam Evenson was admitted to the ICU at St.Mary's in Rochester on Monday, December 14th. He was admitted with a very high temperature and stomach pains. And that turned into him being intubated and sedated. He's been quite a mystery to the doctors as he has been extremely ill with little to no explanation. Which is odd because he is a very healthy 15 year old boy who lives a healthy lifestyle and stays active while being a part of the Bantam A VFW hockey team in Rochester. He has gone through so many tests the last few days with many more to come. He got taken off of the ventilator yesterday (the 18th) and its definitely been hard for him to adjust to the new breathing machine but he's slowly getting used to it. Hopefully we keep heading in the right direction but it will for sure be a long road to recovery. Alyssa and Alex have been under a tremendous amount of stress watching Sammy fight his way through this, but they've been there by his side since it started. They have been doing a wonderful job keeping everyone updated on their facebook profiles. We (family) have been noticing a lot of people asking what they can do to help out the Evenson's in this hard time so we decided to create this page so we can all come together to support them.
