Sammy is an amazing three year old lab mix. On October 19th, I discovered a mass on her foot. Because of her itching, the vets thought maybe it was scar tissue/inflammation. We treated her with meds and different soaks. November 24th, the day before Thanksgiving, I discovered a golf ball sized mass that had ulcerated and was very inflamed. The following Monday, November 29th, she has surgery to remove the big mass, the toe mass, and another small mass. December 2nd I received the worst call ever.. our sweet girl has an aggressive, round, mast cell cancer. The doctors are consulting with an oncologist and we will be having surgery her second surgery on Monday, December 6th , to have her toe removed to finish getting good margins, as well as another lump I found. We are also waiting on another stain test to come back from pathology. We are praying for good news that we can treat this... and even better, beat it. She still acts fine and is super energetic. Overall, we are just very anxious moving forward with this process. We know it won't be easy. Money is tight, and we would appreciate any help we can get towards her treatment. It will be a couple thousand, but I know that is a lot to ask! Thanks for being here.
