On Sunday, February 23rd 2020 my beloved 17 years old nephew Samuel suffered a stroke. He was taken to the ER and went through a life saving surgery to avoid further impact of the stroke. He is currently hospitalized at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.

Sammy, as we all know him, has been a fighter.  He has been able to overcome the most difficult period at ICU and his vitals are now stable. However, due to the damage in his brain, there will be a long road of recovery and an extensive rehab process. The next few days are still critical for him and we are confident that Sammy will fight and will beat all the odds.

Given the long road ahead and rehab, I have started this fund to help my nephew and his family during this time of need.  The funds will be used for medical expenses,  long term rehabilitation and household bills. We would like for him to be in the best care possible, which indicates one of his parents staying with him.
