Sammy's Memorial Fund

Dear Ones,

We have created a Memorial Fund in honor of Sammy.  We are reaching out to ask if
you would consider donating to the fund to help his wife and son in their time of need.
We have intentionally omitted their names to protect their privacy but you surely
recognize them or the person who shared it with you if this link has been shared with
you.

Sammy is known to many as the gentle giant who always greeted a stranger and friend
with a warm, welcoming smile. He passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 10th,
due to COVID-19 complications. This is a great loss to all who loved him, and it is a
devastating loss for his beautiful wife, and their young son, whom so many know and love.

Sammy was a dedicated family man who loved sports, music, good food, and he loved
Jesus. This beautiful couple opened their hearts and home to foster children. Their
world changed when their son was placed in their care, and after months of legal
challenges, they adopted him. The two of them gratefully and selflessly provided a safe,
loving home for their son, in which he was finally able to thrive.

Due to the pandemic, Sammy had been laid off since March 2020, which had already
created a financial strain, and now his wife and son are in great need as they navigate
this challenging and unexpected hardship.

Would you please consider donating to this fund?  Your gracious donation will help with
funeral expenses, exorbitant medical bills after four days in ICU, ambulance costs and
household expenses.

Any amount will be much appreciated and helpful.   *All funds go directly to Sammy's wife.  Please note that the option of a TIP to GoFundMe on the donation page can be set to "zero", and is not required.

And please SHARE this with others in your circle and anyone who knows Sammy or his
wife and son.  Thank you so much.
