Sammy Rushing Funeral Expenses

On 8/25/2023 our dad, Sammy Rushing was transferred from Merit Health in Natchez, MS to Regional One in Memphis, TN. Once arriving to Regional one dad bottomed out and had to be intubated and placed on multiple medications. Dad has suffered over the past few years with a lot of health problems. Over the past few weeks dad showed hope and improvement until recently. Dad took a turn for the worse and after meeting with the doctors, they are giving him no hope in coming out of this. Which is probably the worse news we could have received. With that being said, unfortunately dad did not have life insurance and we will be removing his breathing tube and all medications that is basically keeping him alive here soon. As most of you know dad absolutely loved everyone, he was an individual who could walk into a room and light it up with laughter. Dad was not only a dad to us, but to everyone. Our home was everyone’s home. Over the next few weeks, it will be a tough time for us. We are asking for assistance in ensuring dad gets a proper burial. Dad is very young, 58, so we did not expect this would happen so soon. We appreciate all the prayers, givings, and everyone who has reached out thus far.
